We knew we had to go to the well-known section of the Mutanyu wall. This section has been rebuilt and isn't as crowded as other sections of the wall that are closer to Beijing. Once you're there, I don't recommend walking up it because you'll be so tired by the time you reach the top that you won't want to walk through and see everything. You have 2 options, take a chairlift or a gondola. The wall looks different than you may have initially thought. I thought it would be relatively flat, but I was so wrong. All of the small ladders that you have to use leave you exhausted by the end. But the views are worth the climb because it leaves you at a high point where you can see the entire landscape.
