Tour du Pin Street

1 review of Tour du Pin Street

Medieval street

The Rue de la Tour du Pin is just outside the hemicircular square of Bir Hakeim from which you enter the neighborhood of the Luna. You cannot reach this street through the monumental door of Bourgogne, which is on the right hand side if you are in front of the arch. The facade of the house overlooking the river is from the seventeenth century, and has curious stone faces, with high windows. It is a rich place. But once you get past the street there is a medieval street, simple, with poor compared to the luxury of the plaza, and no decoration on the facades of the houses. The street is typical of what was in the harbor of Luna in the eighteenth century.
