Brighton Town Hall

The Town Hall is where the city council of Brighton is based, and is in the center, close to the seafront. It was built in 1830, and its design included the first police administration office in the city. This office had a very bad reputation, because its boss was murdered in his own office! Something that had never previously happened in the UK, nor will it ever happen again. Here you can also find the museum which tells the history of Brighton. They have a great collection with documents and the first map of Brighton, which is dated 1545. There are some pictures and illustrations of how the city used to look in the past.
