    Oldest European settlement in US

    Founded by the Spanish in 1565, this is the oldest European settlement in the United States. St. Augustine, Florida is a tourist town with a rich history. This hotel is located just one mile from the historic district so it is close to attractions such as the Basilica of St. Augustine, the Mission of Nombre de Dios and the Old Spanish part of the city. South of the city on Anastasia Island is the St. Augustine Alligator Farm which is full of Florida wildlife. There´s also a zoo and museum.
