Better location impossible. Located between Grand Central Station and the Chrysler Building. You can find good deals in August or during low tourist season but it is still quite expensive. In August we paid a little less than 200 € a night for 2 adults and 2 children. The hotel is a bit old so don´t expect modern furniture or fashionable decoration.
This is a spectacular hotel in the heart of Manhattan, near Fifth Avenue, Central Park and Times Square. Modern decor, design, and meticulous attention to detail. A safe choice if you can find a good price.
This is a more reasonable hotel than what is usually offered in NYC. Affordable rates, and in our case, great rooms (although we saw some rooms while they were being cleaned they weren't as nice). Two queen size beds (135 centimeters). No extra services were provided, not even a cafeteria. Even though there's a Europa Café, Starbucks and Bagel & Beans that guarantees you breakfast. The location was very good. It was a couple of blocks from Times Square and Broadway theater. Easy access to the metro, which was within 100 meters.
My name is Noel, and I want to describe my experience in this great hotel in New York. We went on our honeymoon in October 2008, and the truth is that it was difficult for us to decide on a hotel in New York, but in the end we made a good decision. It is a more or less centrally located hotel, and you can relax because you know, such as the Hotel Pennsylvania which is located directly across from Madison Square Garden, it was a place so noisy you can hardly sleep. It is a gorgeous hotel, and the room is spacious with a mini bar, an excellent bathroom, TV, safe, iron and ironing room, bathrobe, hair dryer, and desk. There is a floor with computers with internet access and best of all a Spanish-speaking staff. Something important was that breakfast was included, which is not common in New York. It was a continental breakfast with coffee, (not like coffee in Spain, it´s quite watery and you need to drink 20 for anything to happen), buttered toast, muffins, juice, fruit, etc.. In short, we left with a good impression, we really liked it. I have no doubts that this hotel is great, especially for a honeymoon. New York is an amazing experience every time.
We spent six nights in this great hotel. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a nice girl at reception who explained to us what we wanted to know about things such as tours, shows and getting around the city. We agreed on a tour that day (New York Contrasts Kept Secret). The room was comfortable and functional. The breakfasts were great. The location of the hotel was absolutely unbeatable. It was a few steps from the Empire State Building and near the subway stop. We will repeat the experience without hesitation ...
It had very good service, spacious rooms (for NY), was located in Soho and probably one of the best options in the area. It has a very active bar-life at night and excellent cocktails. It is close to all the shopping area of Soho. Breakfast in the room can be huge (and not cheap, of course ...).
This hotel is one of the best options if you go to New York and if no one wants to spend a fortune on a hotel without sacrificing quality. The first, and most important I think, is that it´s in the heart of Manhattan. It is one block from the Empire State Building, four from Rockefeller Center, and just over a 5 minutes walk from Times Square, 10 minutes from Madison Square Garden, and practically glued to Fifth Avenue on one side and on the other to the store Macys, a 15-20 minute walk from Central Park ... In short, it´s near lots of sites to be visited in New York and in the city center. Regarding services: rooms have large beds, a large closet, a bathroom with shower, a hairdryer and soap. It also has a safe, large TV, and alarm clock ... Come on, an entire room with typical standard services. Ahh! It also has a cooler and glasses ... Although it is likely that any of you touch even if you share a bed. Breakfast is included in the price, but not a big variety, though it was not bad. It consists of donuts, bagels, toast, plus the odd bun, fruit, cereal, boiled eggs, coffee, tea, juices and not much else. The restaurant which does breakfast, is a grill restaurant during the day, where they give you a 15% discount if you are a guest. The food is pretty good but there is not much choice. On the opposite side there is an Irish bar that also gives guests a 12% discount. In the lobby there is a computer with internet access and free coffee and tea also. And on all floors there is a coffee or soda machine. The hotel is fairly comprehensive, though not the most beautiful or luxurious. It is clean and and with a pretty good and effective service. But it may be a little old. But your location is compensated. Unbeatable for that value. Really. It did not disappoint. Per person per night in a double room with breakfast, about 40-45 euros. They have shuttles, which are vans that take you and bring you to the airport. It is very profitable if you are several. For 5 persons, about 12 euros per person to Newark Airport.
I was in this hotel last year during my honeymoon. It was an average hotel with a super big bed and a tiny room. We were thinking of booking a more expensive hotel but in the end it was worth sticking with this one because it was fine.
This is the perfect location for this Boutique Hotel with themed rooms relating to books - a room with Norman literature, a room with children's stories, etc. Excellent service, with a terrace on the 14th floor with great views and a relaxation area on the 1st floor with snacks (cheese, crackers, juices ...) included in the room rate. Free Wifi. Facing a Starbucks ...
This hotel has a great location and is excellent value for money. Virtually all staff speak Spanish. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The bathrooms are old, but they work perfectly and are spotless. Despite its central location, you do not hear the noise of the city. I was on the 5th floor. The beds are very comfortable and large. Opposite, there is a place that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner in a buffet style, it's gorgeous. Highly recommended for a no frills stay.
Super well located, one block from Times Square and subway stations. Breakfast is a little expensive and rooms are small, but they are enough for two people. The lobby is well decorated and the front desk's attention is very good.
Perfectly located near Times Square, the hotel has free wifi, though no lobby and no restaurant, though everything is good and at the right price. Unique potential drawbacks include no radiators, only air conditioner and a bathroom with only a shower.
Warwick New York is a stylish and clean hotel set in an early 20th century building. It has a convenient location for exploring the city either on foot or by public transportation. It's not cheap, but the service and location make up for it!!! Famous actors and celebrities like Cary Grant, Greta Garbo, or Ernest Hemingway all stayed here.
The Bedford Hotel is located next to Grand Central Station and close to Times Square and the Empire State Building. Rooms have mini-fridges, coffee makers, tea kettles and a tap. They're not too scrupulous in cleaning (but not dirty either). I spent a week and they didn't change the sheets once, not to mention vacuuming or cleaning the bathroom. The price is reasonable, somewhere around $200 a night if I remember correctly. If you are someone who values location more than cleaning at hotels, this may be the hotel for you. If you're a neat freak, avoid this hotel! The overall service is not good.
We stayed at the The London NYC for 4 nights. The hotel has a beautiful lobby and hyper-modern rooms (I recommend the rooms with a view on the 10 upper floors) There are no international channels on the TV or even music channels, so you should bring your own alarm clock or iPod if you're into that sort of thing. Cleaning and maid service were overall more than satisfactory. The receptionists are OK but not too friendly. If I had to choose something negative about the London NYC it would be the breakfast. For its astronomical cost (about $45.00 per person) the choice and quality of the products did not quite deliver. A tip: The Metrocaffè opposite the hotel offers every imaginable breakfast delicacy, both sweet and savory, for less than $15.00 per person.
I was literally overwhelmed when I first say the Westin Hotel, without a doubt one of my favorite skyscrapers in New York! Located just steps from Times Square in the heart of Broadway, the Westin's hypnotically alternating warm and cool colors delight passersby even on the grayest of days. It just adds another dimension to Manhattan's delirious swirl of colors, lights, sounds, and people.
Ace Hotel New York is a 12-story hotel in the heart of Midtown Manhattan next to the Theater District. The location is unbeatable and you can walk to the main attractions of the city like Times Square, Macy's, Madison Square Garden and Broadway theaters. The most exclusive hotel room is the "Loft", a corner room, overlooking Broadway and 29th Street. It has a vintage style living room, a refrigerator with a mini bar and a retro bathroom as well. The price is about $1,000 per night.
New York's Fashion Week is when all the best designers hold fashion shows in the most well-known hotels in the city. It's quite an experience to enjoy the glamour and art of haute couture. The Hotel Americano was chosen to present the collection of designer Angel Sanchez. Everything about this hotel is wonderful, from its location to its facilities.
