I couldn't imagine being so close to New Jersey without visiting the town where Jon Bon Jovi was born. Luckily, a local guide (Remo, who is Danish and very friendly) offers tours of places of interest for Bon Jovi fans. He picked us up in his car at Central Park, waving the flag of Denmark so we'd recognize him. Then he took us to JBJ's birthplace, school, concert hall where he first performed, mansion, the JBJ Soul Foundation restaurant, and his Soho apartment. The tour takes 4 and a half hours, although we were stuck in traffic so it actually lasted 6. Remo is a fun guy, and the journey is enlivened by the music of...guess who? I'd definitely recommend this tour to fans of Bon Jovi.
