We were spending a few days in Puerto Natales and we chose to stay at the CostAustralis for 4 nights. We were lucky because we got the best room in the hotel, which included a gazebo. The service was great, the food was very good (I recommend the grilled chicken). It's a place I doubt I'll return to, but if I did, I'd go back to this hotel.
The luxurious Sheraton Santiago Hotel and Convention Center is located in a quiet residential area and within walking distance from the main attractions and shopping areas. It is an ideal choice for business travelers as well as for leisure. They have facilities for large social events as well as conventions. There is an indoor heated swimming pool as well as outdoor, there all kinds of services at your disposal and a leading international restaurant to enjoy dining at.
After spending 7 nights at this hotel, there is nothing to praise other than the people who work there, and the facilities. Located three blocks from the main square, it has a magnificent location. Spacious rooms are well equipped. Jarvis, the manager, is always willing to help and have a good conversation. In short, a very good choice to stay in Salamanca.
The Ibis Santiago Providencia Hotel is located a few steps from the central bus station, and one of the first buildings you'll see once your arrive in Santiago. We had just arrived and given Santiago's reputation for being unsafe at night, we went ahead and got a room here (cost: 35,000 pesos, or about 50.00 euro). The rooms are nice and quiet and they TV has about a million channels. Breakfast is charged separately (3,000 pesos), but overall it was a pleasant stay.
One of the most famous hotels of this city and this is where most of the artists stay who perform at the International Festival of Viña del Mar. A few years ago it was completely remodeled providing a modern look and perfectly joining the sea. The setting is captivating!
The Blue Tree hotel is a real oasis in Santiago, comprising several buildings in one of the most beautiful streets in the Chilean capital. The entire hotel is arranged so that the modern, and the old, mingle together in an atmosphere of perfect tranquility. Of course, luxury comes at a price, and it costs about 124 dollars for a double room, or 115 for a single. Highly recommended if it's in your price range!
You never know what can happen on a journey ... in our case, we found ourselves with no money in a foreign country! Luckily, in Santiago you can spend a night in the "Hogar de Cristo", which is a homeless shelter. A night costs from 0 to 200 Chilean pesos (up to $0.15), and you have a shared room with the city's homeless. You eat and shower with them - a truly humbling experience. Don't fear discomfort or illness. A good choice in case of emergency.
On your travels through Chile, Argentina or Antarctica, you should not miss out on the spectacular Torres del Paine. Stunning granite formations that rise up to 2,800 meters above the sea level. The are located in the National Park they gave their name to and have been declared as a World Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO. Neither can you miss out on a visit to the mythical Tierra del Fuego with its virgin forests, mountains, rivers and little visited lakes such as Fagnano and Deseado, not forgetting the rivers Grande and Azopardo. We may also browse the famous fjords Cordillera Darwin and explore the glaciers and marine wildlife in the purpose-built kayaks.
"Monte Quiquel House" is in the town of Quiquel, from crossing road it's about 1.5 km inwards. Mobile number: 78478770 there are 3 rather comfortable rooms in the company of a family home and garden and typical fauna of the area to enjoy in one place, Quiquel is waiting for you.
The Ritz-Carlton Santiago Hotel is located in the financial center of the city of Santiago de Chile, in the Metropolitan area. It has 205 rooms elegantly furnished and equipped for your comfort and overlooks the Andes mountain-range. it has 52 superior rooms and 15 suites of the highest class. It offers a Mediterranean restaurant, bar, health center and proximity to downtown and major attractions.
This hotel gives the impression of being too big for its ambitions. The poorly-lit rooms overlook a parking lot, and it costs 42 dollars (31 euros) for a single, up to 65 dollars (48 euros) for a room for four. Very shoddy decor.
The Las Hortensias is located in the Providencia neighborhood in Santiago, near the center, near the Metro and several important touristic points. When I was in Santiago, I stayed here and I liked it a lot, because it has very good service, 24 hour reception, and is in a very pleasant and nice neighbourhood. The rooms are spacious, and equipped with heating. This site is perfect for the Chilean winter.
This place is a river surrounded by beautiful scenery, crystal waters, abundant flora, and birds like bluebells and chilcos. There are even Moras oak maquis etc, in summer the nights are too beautiful where the sky is completely clean, and you can see the beautiful fireflies and listen for owls. It's a place where you can rest and be in paradise.
One of the best hostels I've stayed in. It has rooms for every taste and budget and it's located in a very quiet part of the city, but it's still really well connected to the must-see tourist attractions. They offer everything a tourist could possibly need at reasonable prices during reasonable times of day (they even held onto a package for me while I was traveling in South America for three months).
They have some attractive discounts for the ISIC card, or for stays longer than 5 days.
But the most stand-out thing about this hostel is the friendly treatment, from all the staff, and from the owners. They really make you feel at home.
Also there to orient and help you with respect to what to do in the city and practically the whole country, they give you a lot of brochures and information so you can move around as you please within all of the little hideaways, not just the well-known places.
Furthermore, they organize various weekly "events" like a free pasta night on Wednesdays, sour pisco on Thursdays and an awesome barbeque on Fridays (all free). Also, you have access to their terrace to have little get togethers of your own.
I have a room for two people in my house that I rent for travelers. It's clean and comfortable and just five minutes from downtown. Also, there's a garage if you come by car. The rent is $ 25,000 (Chilean pesos) including breakfast. I can also help with tours if you need any suggestions.
The Red House is my favourite hostel, because I've made many friends there. The house is huge, with spacious and comfortable rooms. The kitchen is also very large, with several stoves, refrigerators and more. It has a huge garden, pool, jacuzzi, bar and more. The staff are friendly, and will make you feel at home. Highly recommended.
This hostel was created with women in mind (hence the name), and is now known as the best hostel in Santiago. The rooms are very modern and comfortable. The building has several common areas, where it's easily to make friends with the other tourists, and you can have a drink together. The price is very good, and breakfast is included.
The Hostal Casa Norte,is a great family atmosphere guesthouse located only 2 blocks from the beach Excellent standard of accommodation in Iquique, Chile. Near the tourist and commercial center of the city. Hostal Hosted on: www.traveling.cl
