1 review of Camões Square

Square named after poet Luis de Camoes

Camões Square is between the Cathedral Square and Fervença Green Corridor. The square is named after the famous poet Luis de Camões Portuguese writer whose most famous work is "Lusiads". On one side of the square is a plaque placed in the centenary of his death by a group of students of Liceo de Braganza. It's a big square where here is an underground parking lot. In it there are many interesting elements: The ruins of the old market and hybrid modern steel sculpture, a fountain whose jets come from the ground, and access to the Municipal Cultural Center.
