All about Miami tourism

Miami is a little piece of the Caribbean in America. A Miami vacation means being able to dip your toes in the water at Miami Beach practically any time of year or trying something a bit more decadent at the legendary Nikki Beach Club. Or, perhaps your trip to Miami is only passing through to catch a cruise to explore the Caribbean islands.

When you travel to Miami, you’ll arrive at Miami International Airport and easily find a bus to the city’s main tourist centers or the Orange Line train at Miami Central Station. But given that spectacular sights like the Everglades National Park, Key Biscayne, and tons of wildlife parks are only a short drive away, many travelers opt for the flexibility and independence of a rental car during their Miami holiday.

If you visit Miami with kids, they’ll be delighted by the wildlife at Jungle Island, an interactive wildlife park, and the killer whale and dolphin shows at the Seaquarium. Don’t forget to visit the exotic animals at the Miami Zoo, the nation’s only tropical zoo.

All in all, Miami tourism is something special: it’s not everywhere that you can tour the celebrity mansions on Star Island in the morning and enjoy the nation’s most authentic Cuban cuisine in Little Havana in the afternoon. With the city’s mix of climate, nature, and culture, it’s no wonder that tourism in Miami is famous throughout the world.
