Between two beaches
The Esplanada do Carvalhido is the dividing point between the 2 beaches of the city: Redonda Beach and Salgueira Beach. It's located halfway along the boardwalk (Avda Dos Banhos) and, as the name suggests, is a kind of esplanade with a U-shaped building on the sea. Downstairs there are plenty of restaurants, sidewalk cafes and entertainment venues, and the top floor has a lookout over the ocean/beaches. It's one of the most atmospheric sites Póvoa.
