    The rooms are very nice with a cozy traditional decor

    The George Hotel is situated at the end of the main street of Inveraray. Inveraray is a beautiful historic village located on the Scottish shore of Loch Fyne. The population is less than that of Loch Lomond, but at the same time you´re just an hour away from Glasgow. It is a lovely and convenient place. To begin with, the George was just a couple of private houses built in 1770. With the construction of the neighboring castle, a village developed, commissioned by the Duke of Argyll. It is one of the first planned cities of Scotland. The ground floor was a chapel, and it is now a bar. In the year 1860, the two houses joined together to form the George Hotel, managed by the Clark family.
