Music Museum of Silos

This original museum of musical instruments from around the world is in assocition with the Friends of Slos and the famous Benedictine Abbey. Located in the "Jail House", a historic building from the seventeenth century, the theme of this two-story museum is "the sounds of the earth." You can find instruments from across the world (Japan, Bolivia, Madagascar, Burkina Faso, Togo, Turkey, Mexico and Morocco, for example) belonging to collectors such as the ethnographer Joaquin Diaz or the performer and composer Luis Delgado. The exhibition is spread across two floors and arranges the instruments into four main families: wind instruments, string instruments, brass and percussion.
