This beautiful Victorian house was built in 1875 and is located in the town of Callander (Scotland). It was recently renovated and is the ideal base to explore Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. It's a high quality B&B that has been awarded four stars. The owners Mac and Ania welcome you with warmth and hospitality. The rooms are spacious with a double bed and en-suite bath, and they overlook the house's manicured garden for just 70 pounds/night. Breakfast is served in the dining room with individual tables for each room. It's beautifully decorated and offers a very relaxed atmosphere, perfect to start a good day hiking around this quiet town. The breakfast has a buffet part of cereals, juices and seasonal fruits, and tea or coffee. Then you order the main dish from a menu that will be cooked as you like it. Mac is in the kitchen and Ania always making sure that everything is to your liking. Definitely one of the best places we stayed on our trip to Scotland. Highly recommended for those interested in visiting the area.
This unique, old property is located in the village of Lochearnhead, directly overlooking Loch Earn. It's easily connected to Callander and Crieff (Perth direction). The hotel's busiest season is the summer, when it's filled with visitors who flock to the lake for water sports and other activities. The hotel offers a bar and restaurant. Interestingly the chef is famous in the area and the restaurant has a good reputation, but I can't confirm this. The hotel is built on a block of houses dating back at least 200 years, which gives it a more picturesque touch. It's clean, comfy and very nice. The value is good, so it's one of the most recommended accommodations with 21 perfectly equipped rooms.
The Abbotsford Lodge Hotel dates from the nineteenth century and is situated just outside Callander, Scotland, Great Britain. The rooms are equipped with television and keep their original style. Ideal for weddings using the Campo Romano which own the place. Parking is available and you can reach the city center on foot. A place to relax and to enjoy the natural environment.
Located in the town of Callander in the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park in Scotland. The Poppies has a total of 9 rooms. All are decorated with exquisite taste and equipped with the finest amenities. The hotel offers its guests many services: restaurant, bar, lounge, conference room, seminar room, free parking, breakfast included in the room rate, and is allowed in all rooms ... From the hotel you can easily reach the waterfalls of Lenny. Also nearby is the River Walk and the center of Callander.
This hotel is in the heart of Callander, and offers comfortable lodging next to a large parking lot.
The facilities are old, with large, fully carpeted rooms, and ubiquitous tea. The bathroom is also old but great. The heating works well, but the windows are old, so some nights can be gold. The price of the double room is from 40. A very cheap price for Scotland, which is fine for what it offers.
Tigh Mor Trossachs is a holiday apartment complex located on Lake Venachar at the foot of the famous Ben A'an mountain. It has a heated pool, game room, gym and even its own cafe. And all for the modest price of...well, that's the thing...the prices aren't modest.
The building was once the palace of the Marquis of Montrose in the times of Rob Roy (a kind of Scottish Robin Hood immortalized in film by Liam Neeson). This is where it is believed that the Scottish bandit defended his honor against the power of the Argyll family. Anyways, these are beautiful luxury apartments so the price is pretty high. The location in the heart of the Trossachs National Park, though, is priceless.
It might be a cultural thing, but traveling in motorhomes or RV's is very popular in Scotland, so you'll find plenty of RV campsites around the Scotland (and the UK in general). The Keltie Bridge Caravan Park is one of the newer and better caravan parks I've ever seen and it has a shop, a cafe, clean bathrooms, and hot water. The prices are also so low that six people can stay there for less than what they'd charge one person at any of the local hotels. The location next to a river and historic bridge in the Trossachs National Park is also unbeatable.
