It is a beautiful colonial building, which a gorgeous pink facade. The rooms are very spacious, with large windows overlooking the gardens. The hotel staff are nice and always willing to lend any assistance. Although it's not in the centre of Arequipa, it's 10 minutes walk from the Plaza de Armas. It has a very nice garden, with a great view of the Misti Volcano (weather permitting), with a large pool, and an area in which there are llamas and alpacas.
Accommodation with personality and good design, just a few steps from the main square of Arequipa. Excellent value for money, the hotel is very small so I recommend making your reservations in advance. If your idea is to travel to the Colca Valley: Http :/ / www.Colcacanyon-tours.Com/
The complex is located in the Colca Canyon about 30 minutes from Chivay. Access is a little difficult because it's away from the people of the area but also to enjoy maximum peace and quiet. The rooms are very comfortable but no TV, no mini-bar, and Internet, and the hotel is designed to disconnect, just no internet at the reception. Best of all are the hot springs on the banks of the river. There are 3 pools, at 20, 37 and 40 degrees (the water leaves the fountain at 80!). We were told that it was nice at night, so after dinner we took a swim. Cracking!. The hotel also has a great spa ( spa-Colca-lodge.)
The Sonesta Hotel is located in an arcade right next to the Plaza de Armas. Its large roof terrace offers a spectacular view of the Plaza and the Cathedral; here you can enjoy refreshments and dinner. Rooms are spacious with wifi and minibar. The service and staff are excellent.
One of those hotels with charm, thanks to its location rather than the hotel itself. Facing the Pacific Ocean, surrounded by three bays, one used as a spa because of the high iron content in the sand. Very close to one of the greatest archaeological settlements on the south coast of Peru: Puerto Inca. Almost every room (double and single) has beautiful ocean views. It has a hostel and camp site, playground, games zone, and swings. In addition there's water sports, and Mercers for trekking. Great place, base camp to explore a fantastic natural and archaeological area. To get there, go around Panamericana Sur, take the detour, sign-posted at 610km.
The Colca Llaqta Hotel is located in Calle Jose Galvez, just two blocks from the main city square of Chivay. The hotel consists of several individual bungalows and a two-story building where several rooms are situated. The decor is simple, but very functional. The hotel is comfortable and clean. Radiators in the rooms, TV and hairdryer in the bathroom. Breakfast is served in a small room at the entrance of the establishment. Everything here is simple but very good. The Wifi internet access only works in the reception area.
La Maison du Soleil is a cozy hotel in the old San Lazaro district, one of the most picturesque neighbourhoods of the city of Arequipa. The area is very calm and quiet. It has the typical architecture of the white city, and the bedrooms are comfortable and clean, so you'll feel at home.
One of the best hotels in town, and certainly one of the most historical. The building dates back to 1794; the Mint was located here, and it has been declared a national historic monument in Peru. There's even a small museum inside ... it's very well-located, next to the Monastery of Santa Catalina. Good rooms, some older, and some more modern, and a fine restaurant and bar.
Accommodation in the convent of Santa Catalina. Beautiful colonial house, completely built in ashlar (volcanic stone). Nice facilities and rooms, just two blocks from the main square of Arequipa. For your visit to the Colca Valley: Http :/ / www.Colcacanyon-tours.Com
A recently refurbished hotel with great concern for its environmental policies. Just two blocks from the historic center of the city, arguably the best breakfast I've had in my trip to Peru. Very good service and very good prices, highly recommended.
This recently-renovated, 3-star hotel, is an ideal place to stay in Arequipa. Strategically located in the centre of the city, it's perfect for taking a stroll around the most important tourist areas without needing to rely on transport. The decor is lovely and modern - really one of the best hotels in Arequipa. The bedrooms are very spacious, the bathrooms are modern, and the restaurant offers international cuisine. The staff are very friendly, and they also have relaxation areas, and a convention centre that can be hired for corporate training.
La Estancia offers accommodation that's sufficient for one night. It has private bathrooms and hot water, and is quite comfy. The valley and canyon of Colca are beautiful places, and are very different from the towns of Cusco, Puno and other destinations in Peru. If you visit Peru, be sure to visit the city of Arequipa and the beautiful Colca valley and see the stunning flight of the Condor.
This hidden hotel is located near the city centre. It has very nice, spacious and comfy rooms that will make your stay very pleasant. It has a pool and WiFi. The service is first-rate, best of all, their prices are affordable!
This hostel is in a central location in Arequipa, near the main square. It offers comfoy rooms, each with private bathroom, TV, and Internet for a reasonable price. It's perfect families because it's very quiet. The service is very good. As an anecdote, I'm from Chile and I watched Venezuela defeat my country in Copa America 2011 in this hostel, which isn't easy to forget. A double room with private bathroom is 70 soles.
