I recommend this apartment-hotel in La Palma. It has reasonable prices and we had a great weekend. Our room had the typical living room, bedroom, kitchen, sofa, TV and a good terrace.
It has a perfect kitchen, if you want to save on restaurants. But I would advise you not to miss out on restaurants such as Chipi Chipi or Casa Goyo.
The room is perfect. The views are fantastic and the service is very good. What is really superior is the pool (see photos).
We went in low season, such a luxury! The sea is a few meters away, but you have to go out of the hotel to access the nearest beach (ten minute walk)I really recommend it!
When one is used to staying in enormous, impersonal luxury hotels, it’s nice to stay at a place like Hacienda San Jorge, which produces the Canary Island feel. The rooms/apartments come with a kitchen and are located in the four blocks around a fabulous garden that has won prizes. It also has a nice pool.
They provide desert in a restaurant/lookout point, from where you can see the sea on one side and the gardens on the other. The staff is very nice and friendly, and the rooms aren’t decorated like a hotel. They feel more like home.
La Palma is called “pretty island” and with good reason. I never get tired of visiting it, there are always new corners waiting to be discovered and new paths to be walked. This time we stayed in some nice apartments called Fincas El Gallo, located near de town of Los Llanos de Ariadne. It is well located and it has a good quality/price relationship.
The apartment is simple, but it had everything we needed. Moreover, the views were wonderful and the area is quite calm, but near everything we needed. The owner left us a welcoming wine bottle.
Pedro, the owner, was a very nice and interesting man, took us to see the apartment with terrace that he has. We plan to go back when we return to the island, and this time, if the apartment with terrace is free we will stay there. We also enjoyed the garden on the ground floor. They have hammocks, barbecue and many fruit trees: mangos, avocado, etc.
In March, I went with my partner to spend a few days in the island and we stayed on the western side of La Palma, since it is one of the warmest.
We stayed in this beautiful house located in nature, with views of the sea and well located. It had a nice terrace, barbecue, and gardens. It was a very good choice; we could enjoy the sun and the sunsets.
The owners were very nice and friendly. They left us fruit and wine as a welcome. It was an amazing gesture.
This place is over 100 years old, and has been turned into a boarding house after renovations were carried out. A traditional Canarian ancestral house is located on the main street, a little less than a kilometer above the center of El Paso.
The owners, a married couple, take good care of this small, but seemingly large place, offering a multitude of activities to the guests, the majority of which as foreigners, but some are Spanish, as well. They offer excursions, biking, trips to the mountains, satellite TV, ADSL, etc.
Cancajos apartments are located just 10 minutes from La Palma's airport and close to the capital Santa Cruz de la Palma. A very good location, clean and cheap. Apartments have a lounge with a double sofa bed, bathroom, bedroom and kitchen (fridge, oven and stove).
This is a warm and comfy hotel with 5 floors. It was renovated in 2002, offering a variety of services, like a café, a bar and two restaurants, non-smoking rooms, three conference rooms and medical services.
