Casa Blanco is a small boutique hotel in the heart of the old town of Tarifa (Calle Nuestra Señora de la Luz, 2). It has 7 rooms and a lovely courtyard, in addition to a Nespresso machine for all customers. The rooms are spectacular, with incredible light and decorated in bright colours with attention to the smallest detail. I sat for a while on the chill-out terrace, the views are breathtaking! It is seconds away from the bars, restaurants and shops. I was struck by the tranquility and peace on the streets. The staff are always willing to help - José Luis recommended a terrific tapas bar. I would definitely recommend this hotel!
In the old town of Tarifa, The Vestry works out of a beautiful house from the 18th century. The inn is tastefully decorated with some elements of that era and several oriental touches. The evocative courtyard, so typical of the south, is the ideal place to enjoy the cool air and nighttime smells.
Hostal Africa is located in a remodeled, beautiful old house in the centre of Tarifa. This is a very simple hotel, but is very clean and airy. The owner is very friendly; when I arrived, he showed me around the house and its spectacular terrace overlooking the city, the sea and, in the distance, Morocco. I paid just 25 euro for one night in a single room with a bathroom and a small lunch, but the price varies depending on the time of year. To get there, enter the city through the Puerta de Jerez and take the second street on the right.
The Hotel Misiana is an historic hotel on Tarifa's main street, and it's in a great location. The hotel has undergone various remodelings in recent years, but this year it seems they've gotten it right. The hotel has a terrace and a restaurant that becomes a cocktail lounge in the evening.

The rooms provide rehabilitation and exquisite decor, comfortable beds, free WIFI, air conditioning/heating, satellite digital TV, bathroom with a shower and a pleasant kitchen equipped with all necessary facilities. It is in the most vivid part of Tarifa with restaurants, bars and attractions. Types of room are as follows. DOUBLE STANDARD: double bed, kitchen, satellite digital TV and bathroom. DOUBLE WITH BALCONY: Double, Andalusian balcony, seating, digital and satellite TV, kitchen and bathroom. The former convent in Tarifa is now a hotel and restaurant that's one of the trendiest places in town. Inside the building has been renovated to create fabulous spaces for dinner and drinks afterwards.
Going up Guzman el Bueno street we came to a small square where the town's oldest fountain is. Right there is where you'll find the Hotel Ciudad de Tarifa. It's cozy and welcoming, and right in the heart of town. The restoration, which was lead and funded solely by the owner, has enriched the area, as can be seen in the photos. It's only the entrance that doesn't have electricity, which is another thing entirely.
