CasaSandra is a place for inspiration, it is the ideal place to go and forget the world. The rooms have been decorated artistically giving warmth to every corner. Its soft sheets are restful, terraces with lovely views of the sea make your days go by without noticing. CasaSandra is a rustic hotel that still gives you a special treat, personalized service, a rich, fresh cuisine and many activities to do to keep you entertained. Keep in mind that is on a small island called Holbox, where the nightlife is very limited so if you're looking to party this would not be the ideal place stay. Cancun is a 2 hour drive and then have to take a 25-minute ferry that takes you to the island but through CasaSandra you can arrange a direct flight by plane from Cancun to Holbox if you do not want to road travel. Really worth a visit, is a paradise.
In Holbox everything is quiet. The streets of sand, ocean, sunset, ... It's nice to walk along the beach and enjoy all that walking appears in Clouds. A stylish and cool architecture combines regional materials to form a perfect place to enjoy the relaxation of this island of Mexico. The food is very good and the service excellent, also the cocktails and drinks are especially rich by how prepared and how well known for its bar-lounge La Brisa. From there, the views are superb to watch the sunset over the sea, pelicans and flamingos that roam around the area ... Pure peace. I recommend this place to anyone who is going to Holbox, both to stay in it as to visit and have a drink on the spacious terrace or La Brisa. I'll be back!
Holbox Island is a true Caribbean treasure located in the northern part of the Yucatan Peninsula, a heavenly crossroads between the Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico. It is a very quiet and peaceful place. Mawimbi has been built and decorated with special attention to detail, respecting the colors and forms of nature and using techniques and products of traditional Mexican and Guatemalan crafts akin to the ancient Mayan culture. The curtains, blankets and cushions are made of old Guatemala ponchos, while the bathrooms are decorated with colorful Mexican Talavera. The tables and chairs have been hand carved. It is all surrounded by a lush tropical garden.
