Carnivals of National Tourist Interest
The carnivals in Aguilas offer parades until Shrove Tuesday but the most important day is Sunday because each troupe presents new shows and costumes, local clubs open their doors and offer food/drink. The Sabbath is celebrated by an opening speech and there is a paper costume contest. It has been declared to be of National Tourist Interest.
