In the Manga del Mar Menor (meaning "The Sandbar of the Minor Sea"): fish, fresh seafood and rice’s in a pleasant spot overlooking the sea and the Faro de Águilas (Eagle lighthouse). Their specialties are their rice’s and among them the arroz a la piedra (rice made with stones from the sea). The marine decor resembles the inside of a boat. Friendly and correct service.
This salad is a delight and made with the finest ingredients from the earth, like tomatoes, endive, quail eggs and anchovies ... exquisite! And if you like meat, this is the place for you. On top of it all the prices are affordable.
With the most stunning view of Águilas the restaurant Mar de Brasas has become one of the best dining options. It is a different restaurant that combines traditional Mediterranean cuisine with more creative cuisine accompanied by a wide variety of wines.
This is an unbeatable location for lunch or dinner or if you want to go for tapas. It has a small lounge at the entrance next to the bar, then an indoor lounge and a large terrace where it was cooler because even in October it is still very hot. The terrace overlooks the street and the service friendly and polite. We had steamed mussels, clams with garlic, salad with everything and seafood paella, bread and 2 sauces. When we got the paella it looked good! It is a really full plate and it looked very good as red color of the paella is due to the famous prawn Columbine, which is very red. And all at a great price. They also serve good rice, beef avila, a variety of meats and fish very fresh.
Some cakes make you suck your fingers, besides the typical aguileños, there is a picture where you see a meringue pie stuffed with pumpkin, the mimicos, bread, a counter showing the making of chocolates, which is amazing. Cakes, some already seen and many kinds and new, it is certainly a treat for the eye, plus it has seating inside, but the door has many more elongated canopies where the sun does not enter the Plaza de España.
I must say that I am not from Águilas, but I've been here for 4 years. No doubt La Veleta is the best restaurant by far in Águilas.! You can spend your time in the cozy living room or stay at the bar and enjoy delicious and varied tapas. I recommend it 100%
In a beautiful setting by the sea - we are home from the sea. A place to enjoy simple meals with good presentation, nice friendly service, good prices and better taste. The luxury of fish and rice with garlic and toasted bread - in short, a must see.
With great views towards the Eagles marina and the Faro de Punta Negra, this restaurant specializes in dried octopus and Musina and fresh fish at reasonable prices. Also enjoy delicious tapas. It is centrally situated and ideal for a good lunch. The interior is decorated with marine motifs. What caught my attention is the huge mussels embedded in the wall! Incredible!.
A shop with organic products and delicatessen, just browse as it is well worth a go, you'll find unique and typical products of the area such as the "Mimicos aguileños", very good biscuits with cane sugar, almonds, honey and more treats. In the shop there is tomato jam, red pepper, banana, cantaloupe, urchin roe, different types of salsa like grapes, a variety of natural products that surprise anyone. High quality wines, buy the famous Agulas Muscat, chocolate cookies with carob, tomato jam, rich meats, a delicious cheese with red pepper, the staff are very friendly and attentive at all times. This gourmet shop in Águilas has certified organic food, homemade preserves, wines, champagnes, spirits and gifts for foodies!
Open from 9am to 12pm, you can eat here almost at any time. There is a big screen TV where we watched a football party. We needed a place for a late dinner and came here. It has a cozy lounge and a terrace on the beachfront.
This is a good place to have some tapas. It is surrounded by a beautiful garden and offers a variety of tapas, the Iberian pulguitas and fried fish of the day. It is situated in the avenue where the casino and the information desk on the opposite side right next to the City Hall is. This is really a good place.
The Yacht Club is between Punta Negra and Punta L'Aguilica near the fishing port, commercial and sports of the Autonomous Community of Murcia. It has 180 berths. Service Account VHF channel 9, fuel, water, electricity, crane, guest parking and internet access. This is a very sheltered harbor because of its dam, contradique and commercial port.
