Mu Ko Ang Thong National Park

The Ang Thong National Marine Park is a collection of forty small islands which can be reached via a beautiful day-trip from Ko Samui. It starts early in the morning with a speedboat and returns in the late afternoon. I have wonderful memories of this trip. You see many unique landscapes, have lunch on a desert island, snorkel in amazing places, and also have time to just lay out and relax on a pristine beach. The journey is a bit long though, just a word of warning for those prone to sea-sickness.

If you go to the Gulf beaches, you can't miss the tour of this natural park. Beautiful scenery, crystal-clear waters for snorkeling and kayaking, and even an emerald lagoon. It is the only reason worth staying a few extra days in Koh Samui and not leaving for one of the other two islands. A must see!
