Antique Shops and Ladakhis Crafts

The streets of Leh, the main village in the remote Ladakh region, are scattered with antique shops, jewelry, crafts and clothing of the typical Ladakhi style. The items you find in these rustic and very messy stores are absolutely fabulous, worthy of any art collector. Ancient jewelry, small sculptures made of clay and semi precious stones, daily utensils that may be 200-300 years old. If you do not want to carry anything in your backpack, you can buy some clothes typical Ladakhi style. Even though it is very hot and rustic, it is beautiful and very cheap.
