Archaeologic Museum

The Museo della Civitella (Chieti) houses the ruins of Civitella that, along with other evidence and the ancient legends, attests to the vitality of this civilization. In the Middle Ages, a rural civilization flourished here and the museum maintains the preserved remains of its material culture. Its population was nearly 2.000 and the livelihood of most of the villages was fully supported by agriculture, based, as always, on the production of wine, olive oil and chestnuts.
