To Spend a Few Hours
Benicarló is located in Castellón, a few kilometers away from Peñíscola. It is not a very touristic place, but since it is close to Peñíscola and its beaches, many people use it as a base to move around the surrounding areas.
We arrived by chance to the town, since we made a mistake with the bus and instead of going to Peñíscola we arrived to Benicarló. We went to the tourist office to explore a bit.
Basically they recommended the church, the ancient convent of San Francisco, which is now where the Museum of the City is found. You can do the visit by foot. In front of the museum
