1 review of Lower Bertha Falls

A hike for all abilities

About halfway up the trail to Bertha Lake is the equally as stunning Bertha Falls, a popular hike for people of all abilities in Waterton Lakes National Park. The hike to the falls only takes about an hour altogether, as it is approximately a 3km round trip with minimal elevation gain.

The trail is very well-travelled and you will definitely run into other hikers on the weekend. That being said, sturdy shoes or hiking boots are still recommended. It is also recommended that you carry bear spray with you at all times, since these areas are often frequented by both grizzly and black bears.
