First international peace park

The Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park is the name given to the union of the Glacier National Park in the United States and the Waterton Lakes National Park in Canada, both parks have been declared UNESCO World Heritage sites. This union is the first international peace park in the world and is a symbol of friendship between the two neighboring countries. The park is in Montana in the US and in Alberta and British Columbia in Canada. The peace park consists of two mountains, 130 lakes and hundreds of plant and animal species. You can explore a good part of the park on the famous Going-to-the-sun, a road which runs through it, there are beautiful views of both the Lewis and Livingston mountain ranges, as well as forests, waterfalls and lakes.
