No need for an introduction as it is an institution in Berlin. Its elegance, excellent apple pies are considered the best in the city, and careful selection of teas mean I recommend you get close to what once was home to German actress Henny Porten. This house dates from 1878 and for 35 years that serves as the restaurant-cafeteria Einstein. If you go in the afternoon, I recommend the always fresh and homemade apple strudel, and order a soft black tea, such as Darjeeling, not Assam, it would be too strong. But if you go at an earlier time, then an Assam would go perfectly with the aforementioned apple pie.
