1 review of Martha's Vineyard Campground Tabernacle

An air of Alice in Wonderland

At the heart of Oak Bluffs, Martha's Vineyard, you'll find this old Methodist community that dates back to the mid-nineteenth century. The community is still active, and the charming houses are nicknamed "gingerbread houses" for their appearance. They are all gathered around the central Tabernacle, the place of worship, and are surrounded by trees. Colorful and kitch, they feel like a movie set, and although they are inhabited all year round, I didn't meet a soul during my walk through the area.
