Cancun Bus Station
The bus station is in the center of Cancun, away from the hotel area. If you want to go on your own to Chichen Itza there are direct buses that go there and to other towns towards the south. When we arrived we found that there were direct buses to Chichen Itza at 8:45 and 9:05, so we were lucky to get up so early. The truck (as they are called here) took about two hours and took us to entrance of the great ruins of Chichen Itza.
