Ceremony of the Whirling Dervishes
In this caranvasaray which is located 6kms east of Avanos in Cappadocia, you can see the ceremony of the Whirling Dervishes. I don't know what is it about the music and the dance, but all who attended the ceremony, felt totally relaxed by the end of it. If you go to Cappadocia, I strongly reccommend that you don't miss it. I have seen the dance at the dervishes from other sites and it's not quite the same. The ceremony Shema was born from the inspiration of Mevlana (1207-1273) It's made up of 7 parts each with a different meaning that together represent a spiritual journey towards 'perfection'.
