A Nice Walk Along the Cliffs

Excellent

The majority of visitors that come to Ajuy come to see the caves, which can be accessed from the beach. The path to the caves begins in the northern point, and passes a hut that was built on the rock.

The view from the road is spectacular, bordering the cliffs that form this piece of coast. If the visibility is good, you can see the point of the wrecked ship American Star, behind one of the capes looking to the south. The caves are impressive, and you can enter them through a stone staircase, although it is slippery, so be careful.

Be sure to stop to see the movement of the waves

Ajuy

I arrived at Ajuy after reading the information in minube, and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. I was very surprised with the landscape, shaped by the strength of the sea…and the way that the layers of volcanic rock and the sandstone are differentiated.

All of this and more can be enjoyed if you take a nice walk (from the town of Ajuy to the cove next to the caves), taking a path that borders the coast…Ajuy really one of the surprises of Fuerteventura’s landscapes.

Sunset in Ajuy

It’s really incredible. The majority of people come to Ajuy to see the eroded caves in the cliff, but nobody imagines the beauty of this landscape. The caves have an impressive landscape, but my favorite thing was the sunset of Ajuy, one of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen.

If you sit in one of the beach’s terraces, you can delight with the beautiful sight. It is a place that you have to go see if you are in Fuerteventura.
