Zona Arqueologica de Chinkultic

Chinkultic

It is an archaeological site of the Maya that are located in the town of Trinity, about 55 kilometers from the city of Comitan in Chiapas. Although not a great ceremonial center as Chichen Itza or Tulum, the ruins and the landscape are a great attraction. The site consists of four sets of buildings that make up the center, the most important at the top of the hill where the view is breathtaking. My recommendation is that if they go instead to the Laguna de Montebello National Park take a few minutes to visit this archaeological site which is before the National Park if coming from Comitan. An important point is to try to visit when it is not rainy season, because the surrounding area there are small lakes and flooded the step to climb the hill and lose at least from my point of view the ruins located on the hill is most important.
