Journey through mountains and rice paddies
The villages of Chule and Katike are respectively one and two days away from the Kathmandu, journeys which take you through mountains, rice paddies, cornfields and a system of labyrinthine paths. I took a small map with me, but there's really no better way to find your path than by asking the locals that you encounter - it's not easy to navigate in Nepal. A great, memorable way to spend the day. Everything around the Kathmandu Valley is peaceful, and the people are relaxed and tremendously welcoming.
