1 review of Inveraray Parish Church

Georgian style

The main church of Inveraray, situated in the north of Glasgow, is located in the city center, at the end of the High Street. It is open every day and Mass takes place at 11 am in the morning on Sundays. It belongs to the Church of Scotland. It was built at apporximately the same time that the town was built, ie in the 18th Century. The Duke of Inveraray, who at that time was having his castle built next door, ordered the construction of a town. It is in front of the town jail, and the former court. It is constructed in a Georgian style. It was designed in 1792 by Robert Mylne to accommodate two religious communities, the English and Gaelic.
