Copenhaguen Island Hotel
I usually book hotels as close to the city center as possible. The travel agency gave me several to choose from and the Copenhagen Island Hotel was not among the most central, but when I went on their website to have a look, there was something that caught my attention. It's pretty far from the center, about a 20 minute walk, but because it's located on an artificial island literally in the middle of the channel. It's like being on a cruise ship surrounded by water. It is a metaphor for the city of Copenhagen - a small town on the water. Even though it's out of the way, for someone who doesn't want to walk to the city center, it is still well connected by metro.
