Brasov Council House

Constructed in the fourteenth century, mixing Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque styles, such as in the part of its large loggia, this government building is built in the middle of the Sfatului square, as it is the most important point of the city. In this large pedestrian square, you can´t miss it! For centuries, it housed the city institutions. There, they voted the laws and made all the important decisions for Brasov and its surrounding region. Nowadays, you can find a museum in the council house, which is the Departmental Museum of History. It has a good archaeological collection, in addition to old furniture that was used in this house.
