An authentic street
For more authenticity, I prefer the outlying district of Crescent Street to the touristy heart of Chinatown. Although the Chinese have lived here many years and are truly Americanized, they are still true to their traditions. I met Mr. Shervu Khoon Chou, an acupuncturist who traveled and lived in several Asian countries, before coming to live the American dream in San Francisco. His hat and snakeskin cowboy boots fascinated me.
