Byzantine icon
The Diocesan Museum is located in Bolzano. This Byzantine icon was built to assemble the collection of relics of the kings Epirus Maria Angelina and Thomas Comneno. The relics are in a box under each saint and at the side of their head is their name on a glazed plaque. On the left, there is a slab with the Virgin and Child, and at their feet is a portrait of the queen.
