Exchange has good food but better can be found elsewhere
Exchange is the Premier Inn Quayside restaurant. It highlights above all the beautiful view. This is due to being on the banks of the River Tyne, and is a former industrial house which was restored, with big windows that give a lovely setting for a dinner. The menu is basic, I imagine that it is the same in all the chain hotels then there is nothing original, but the products are fresh and delicious. Maybe it's a bit expensive for what it is but you're there for the view and the service is good. The desserts are alright and the wine list has enough to be an English restaurant. The bills comes out
