From the Peninsula to Punta Ballena

2 reviews of From the Peninsula to Punta Ballena

New Year's Eve 2011 and Fireworks.

Great

New Year's Eves on the beaches of Punta del Este are famous. You can see fireworks of all kinds and colours from Casa Pueblo in Punta Ballena to the centre of the Peninsula, as well as in homes, gardens and terraces. Almost all of us at the event went to the beaches and the promenade sitting in chairs, tarps in the sand, on the runways of the promenade, looking from balconies or just standing. We saw the sky fully lit with coloured lights and stars. They were more than two continuous hours in which people of all ages and nationalities competed to make the night louder and brighter than ever. Tons of fireworks, balloons, flares and lights shots all fell into the sea or crossed over boat cruises that contributed too.
