Stirling Council

It's not every day that you get to visit the headquarters of the government of a Scottish city (although, to be honest, most cities in Scotland don't have much in the way of local government: the Provost - the name given to the mayor - does little more than open buildings and streets). Most of the government buildings are restricted but, thanks to some business trips, I've been able to take some photos which I've put up here. You can see the historic chair belonging to the mayor, some interesting carving on a wooden staircase, and several historical badges.

Knowing almost everything that can be seen in Stirling, I can assure you that this historic municipal building has much more to show than many of the museums and surrounding attractions.
