Zurich Hauptbahnhof

Zurich has an excellent infrastructure of trains, although they are expensive, but worth it. It takes less than 12 minutes to reach the airport and less than 50 minutes to known destinations like Lucerne, Rapperswil. Inside the station is a large Christmas market where you can buy, eat and drink hot mulled wine.

But quite some good and shopping options also on Sundays or public holidays. It's a great start to explore the city by tram or by boat or on foot!
