Artifacts from Hungarian history

The Hungarian National Museum was founded in 1802 when the count Ferenc Szechenyi donated some important documents pertaining to Hungarian history to the national trust. Nowadays, it's a huge museum where you can find lots of objects and artifacts from various periods of Hungarian history, dating from the founding of the country until 1900. One of the most beautiful artifacts is the coronation mantle featuring St. Stephen and his wife, Gisela of Hungary. The museum also usually has a temporary exhibit aside from the permanent collection. The building itself was built in a Classical style and, in my opinion, is one of the most beautiful in all of Budapest.
