Gorgonita
A tribute to a legend
This sculpture is located in the Magnificent Mile (the northern part of the popular Michigan Avenue). The monument consists of a bust of the legendary baseball radio sports commentator John Beasley "Jack" Brickhouse. On the pedestal that supports the sculpture is a plaque with a brief biography. It is said that nobody could bring a match to life like him.
