1 review of Keronea

Flavour of Authenticity

Coming back to Thermopylae Delphi we found a small but charming town called Chaeronea. There we put gas in the car a 70 year old lady who was dressed in black who ran a curious gas station. You can visit the theatre carved into the mountainside, the lion looking to the tomb of the Macedonians who fell in battle, a monument erected for Alexander the Great and his father Philip, to honour those who fought against Thebes, and some peculiar bars with all the flavour of authenticity. It can also be said that this is the hometown of the famous philosopher and writer Plutarch.
