Kicevo

Kicevo is a city in the west of the Republic of Macedonia, in a valley south-east of Bistra Mountain, which is one of the most important in Macedonia. It is near Ohrid and about 112 km from Skopje, Macedonia's capital. This small town has just over 30,000 inhabitants, including a large group from Albania and a small group from Turkey. This was my last stop on my adventure through Bogomila, Bitola, Struga, Ohrid and Kicevo, ending in Skopje. It made for eleven intense days, and the main objective was to learn more about the culture of the Balkans and particularly Macedonia and also to learn to cook one of the typical dishes, Ajvar.
