La Garganta de Los Infiernos

Don't hesitate to visit this wonderful place, full of life and color. It lies in the valley of Jerte (Cáceres). It is ideal for hiking, in fact, to reach this gorge it is necessary to walk for a while, though the nature is wonderful (here is a short video on the way to the gorge). I have attached links to a couple of websites: Rural Tourist Apartments "Las Palomas" -'https://www.valledeljertelaspalomas.com' Rural Apartments "La Antigua Tahona" -'https://www.antiguatahona.com.'

Interpretation Centre Nature Reserve Hells Gorge

This center provides information about the flora and fauna of the Natural Reserve of Garganta de los Infiernos. Admission is free and the exhibition consists of two rooms: -Living Nature Reserve: Using information panels and a mock valley and park, it takes a tour of the typical ecosystems of the Gorge of Hell, its biodiversity and nature trails. -Sala del Valle: This recreates the typical Jerte gorges, wildlife and vegetation. There is also an audiovisual and there is a reception area where visitors can learn about the various hiking trails in the area (the most popular is the Pylons path).

A quiet and peaceful place

I went here with my family. We did an easy walking route and it was wonderful. If you’re not an experienced hiker, don’t worry…you won’t have any trouble. The best time to go is in spring when the trees and flowers are in bloom and the natural pools and waterfalls are at their peak.

Los Pilones

In a dry environment of dry sand, where paths converge in a stunning location with waterfalls, wells for bathing, and places where people spend the day relaxing. It is also just an hour from the interpretive center and only about 3 km separate us from This beautiful place

Magnificent natural pool

This magnificent natural pool is located in the heart of the Valle del Jerte about a half hour from Plasencia or Barco de Avila. There are picnic tables, swing sets, and grassy areas where you can relax.
