Lampur Monkeys

One of the many attractions of this small town are undoubtedly the monkeys. They're difficult to see in colder weather but they're very active and much more confident once summer arrives. They typically roam around the national park that surrounds the town and often come close to urban areas--fearlessly! We saw an entire family jumping down from a tree and running around all sides. Watching them sitting in the branches is particularly fascinating. It was too bad I didn't have a better camera because it was very difficult to follow them as they disappeared into the forest.
