1 review of Mandi

town by night

Mandi is the most lively town after Shimla in Himachal Pradesh state in India. it was founded in 1526 A.D. and is a place to look for food, having both vegetarian and non-vegetarian delicacies. The town is very lively and people love to come out and roam about freely in the evening. People are well-educated and some of them have made it big in the world.

It is a common note that fashion comes first at Mandi and then travels to Mumbai and the big cities. Local vegetarian delicacies include curd with gram pulse along with touch of chilly and salt with roasted spices, rice with pulse processed in oil and spinach called "sepu badi", "jhol" which is a simple delicacy of curd mixed with turmeric.
