Mercado de Pilar

The city of Pilar "The Authentic South Pearl" of Paraguay is considered to be one of the most important cities to be found in the country, historical, commercial, and industrial. It is the most populated city Neembucu, and is known for being one of the most beautiful cities in Paraguay. It is clean and safe. Its streets are largely cobbled. There are virtually no paved streets, unlike most cities and towns across the country, but unfortunately the few cobblestone streets that do exist here (less than 10 blocks), are being replaced by cobblestones. The land in Pilar is mostly a white colour (washed sand), and is not the typical red earth colour that characterizes the Eastern Region.
