After deleveraging, many of the estates previously owned by the Church passed into the hands of the state and the buildings were reconditioned for different purposes. For instance, in this cloister you now have one of the most important markets in Mahón.

It’s a must-see place to try local products from the island (sherry wines, sobrasada, cheese, etc.) and spend some time among the citizens of Mahón.
